About Psychedelic Status
Psychedelic Status gives you a straight answer on whether psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine and ibogaine are legal where you are, and shows you the legal routes to therapy that exist today. Every guide puts the verdict in its first line and the law right under it.
Who it is for
- You heard mushrooms are "legal now" in California, Colorado or Amsterdam and want to know what you can do.
- You want legal treatment with psilocybin, MDMA, ketamine or ibogaine, and need to know where, how and at what cost.
- Someone you love is booking a clinic and you want to know what is licensed and what to ask.
- You saw a headline about the FDA and want to know what changed and what is still a forecast.
The guides are written for readers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, with local law in local terms.
Why readers use it
Search "are shrooms legal" and you get retreat sellers, gummy shops, law-firm ads and maps coloured green or red. Legality turns on the substance, the place, the act and the date. Psychedelic Status answers at that level: possessing, growing, buying spores, selling, prescribing and travelling each get their own answer, for your state or country, as of a date you can see.
How we research
- Primary sources in every guide. The statute, regulator page or court record is linked next to the claim, such as the US federal drug schedules, Oregon Psilocybin Services and the TGA's MDMA and psilocybin hub.
- A date on every page. Each guide shows when it was published and updated, and each source shows when we checked it.
- Law, plan and forecast labelled. A law in force, an agency target and a company's expected approval are called what they are, so you know which dates are real.
The editor
Alexander Gusev founded Psychedelic Status and edits every guide on it. He reads the statutes, regulator notices and trial records behind each answer and keeps the guides current as the law moves. Psychedelic Status is published by Beundra AB, Sweden.
